He drove from Miami to NY, hence through the South.

Possibly. But unless he drove straight from Miami non-stop and then only stopped in Delaware(which is unlikely) chances are some of it was in the South right?

is this really thread-worthy? you could probably say the same thing after driving any ~1,300 mile (2,100 km) stretch in the world, TS didn't even follow up as to why he thought these "folks" were so "strange"

It is actually possible to drive from Miami directly to Fairbanks Alaska on the highways.

it would only require 4986 miles or 81 hours of driving. Totally doable.

Some, probably. But why didn't you say the East part of Murika? If some of it was in the South, then the rest was in the Northeast.

The only way that your dumbass point would have been valid is if the driver only traveled in the South....

I've made the drive in reverse (NY to FL), nothing strange about it unless you're not used to small town America. America is pretty diverse in that aspect.

If you want to see real differences, drive from the East coast to the West coast. After I did that, I really understood just how different this country is from place to place.

BTW, I recommend the cross country drive to anyone who has the time. Stop in big cities and small towns, visit malls and regional landmarks. Awesome trip.
