When you foam roll your hip flexors, how do you prevent Mr. Schlong from turning into a flattened paillard?

Mine always gets in the way when I foam roll from the top of the thighs into the hip pocket.

Another question is how do you prevent lordosis when doing standing military presses? My lumbar spine undergoes lordosis like crazy when I military press any appreciable weight.

As to first question, I'm the wrong guy to ask, unfortunately.

As to second question, one thing that'll help is making a conscious effort not to lean back. You'll probably need to practice this with lighter weight for awhile. And once you get the knack you'll probably not be able to put up as much weight with a straight back.

Another thing that helps is to tighten your glutes as you push the bar up. Got that tip from stronglifts, by the way.
 
I usually wrap it around my waist a couple of times and then secure it with a bowline knot.

Weighted ab work will help here too. Strengthen anterior as well as posterior chain.
 
I only use the foam roller when it's cold or i just got out of the pool
