NateH706 said:There are a number of reasons why there isn't a for sale section here:
A) There are already well established resources for doing so. Ebay, craigslist
B) Sherdog has its own store here. People selling off their dvd's, old gloves, etc. potentially takes from sales that support this website and the forums.
C) Sherdog is also heavily supported through its sponsors. Companies like Sprawl, mmawarehouse, hayabusa represent manufacturers/retailers that cover training equipment, apparel, clothing, and more. People constantly selling 2nd hand gloves or shorts eventually can take a toll on a company.
Maybe you don't care about what 1 or 2 sales might do to a company, but even if you don't care about the direct implications, the lack of a For Sale section, and the prevention of other companies from advertising on the forums, all create mroe incentive for sponsors to contribute to the boards.
A for sale section might help the members, but it doesn't help the companies that contribute so much to the support we all follow, and it doesn't help Sherdog to provide these forums for us.
