He said in the octagon, after the fight, that he was 'inefficient with his energy'.

That's pretty much the man himself admitting he was gassing hard.

He got rocked, and he gassed.

He even said himself he 'hit too much arms'. Which is what I said in another thread of mine, that he was struggling to land on Nate. He was winging punches and missing.

Don't get rocked then.

Mendes said he gassed because of his short fight camp. But Conor fans insist Mendes gassed due to the kicks Conor was throwing and it had nothing to do with the short fight camp.

So how are you now gonna say this? I'm sorry but conor didn't gas, he got clipped by Nate.

He loaded up on left hands and threw capoeira kicks. Being a fighter and training all year, he has to know his body and its limitations. Essentially, what he is admitting, is that he was inaccurate and that he demonstrated poor fight IQ. Meanwhile, Nate was very familiar with how his body works and conserved energy in the first, displaying a high IQ. Believe it or not, Nate won this fight because he is a smarter fighter than Conor McGregor.

Um.

I'm not a Conor fan, I'm glad he lost.

You can look at this one way. Using it as an excuse, or recognizing Conor may have poverty tier cardio.

Gassing hard in the second round isn't an excuse in my opinion, it's a failing/weakness as a fighter.

He was probably tiring a bit and then Nate started landing some shots which hurt Conor which really signaled the end.

I'm just saying, Conor himself seems to be saying he was tiring hard, but some Conor fans are claiming his cardio is fine and he simply got rocked.

Sure Conor was getting tired but he hadn't gassed yet. He was missing a lot and getting tagged a lot. Then he was rocked multiple times in the second. That's just what happens given how it played out. Being hurt makes you tired!

He had a full fight camp and fought a fighter his exact size. There should be no excuses here

In other words, he lost the fight. Please delete your account and start over without the nonsensical innuendos.

It was clear AS Day what happened ....when Conor had his energy (1st rd and early second) he was hitting Diaz and busting him up doing very well....He TOTALLY gassed his punches started falling short Nate started sensing he was falling off upped his strikes and started tagging Conor...he couldn;t respond got hit with a good one, got rocked, and at that point he was done...went for a desperate tackdown and lights out

it takes a lot of energy to be a rock star

209 dominick cruz's style, the irish ninja got slayed

Wasn't he talking shit about Muay Thai kicks? The fuck were those wheel kicks about? His kicking game offered nothing...

He lost because he got outboxed and choked out, not because he gassed.

Wait.. So Conor gets boxed up, rocked, and choked out after a full camp because he gassed due to "inefficiency". Mendes, on the other hand, was soundly winning the fight after rolling off the couch with a can of beer in his hand, yet gassed from getting beat up.

This delusional fantasy island shit is why I love sherdog so much after fight night.

getting hit on the chin helps you gas...

just saying...

he got tagged hard then he was out of it. Had nothing to do with gassing!

Working the energy off of getting it knocked out of U. U gassed. Grow a pair and admit it.

Weird how Conor gassed right after Nate tagged him.

If you had not heard the result. People looking at both men's faces you think Diaz had lost. That shit can't be good for the brain.

Conor sloppy performance, ego beat him today. I hope for Conor sake Diaz just got a lucky shot on him that hurt him. It be sad if Conor chin goes downhill from here.

Conor fighting at 170 a weigh he never before fought at anywhere and the shots he threw in the first round. A case can be made he got tired?

But Diaz hurt him with a nice counter and that was that. Conor hand positioning is awful he needs to work on that more then anything, can't engage a opponent with hands down, and not expect to be hurt.
