For everything who thinks Alvarez is a boring fighter...

Eddie Alvarez has been is some of the most exciting fights I've ever seen.

He's getting shit for the Pettis fight, and while I can somewhat understand the criticism, painting him as a boring fighter due to this one fight is ridiculous.

It was very simple. Pettis can't do much of anything to keep him from taking him down and keeping him there. There are a shit ton of fighters who wouldn't allow Alvarez to do that, and from there he has to move onto other tactics, many of which are very brutal and exciting.
 
He's just been boring in the ufc. He has a lot of really exciting fights throughout his career. It'd be nice to see him upset RDA.
 
Do you know why someone wrote that thread saying eddie is boring? It's because hours before that there was articles on the internet him saying conor is not Championship level fighter.. Mctap fans are easily butthurt so they made that thread in response
 
he looks so exciting matching him up vs pettis would be a great fight i bet.

TS must be in communication with alien life forms who have opinions on Earthly MMA. I'll take Eddie to beat RDA in a Chandler-esque battle of human men.
 
Always been an Eddie fan. He had absolute wars in the Dream GP.
 
Alvarez is awesome, and knows when he can go mental, and when he has got to embrace the grind.

The main thing, IMO is that he must know that the UFC would love to bury him, being as he was a long time Bellator guy. They have a history of throwing fighters from other organizations to the wolves, so he is smart to just keep winning, and be exciting when he can be.

Forget the haters, hate can pay your bills as easily as love, just ask Floyd Mayweather. Just win baby!
 
People who think he's boring obviously didn't watch him much before the UFC

Strange comment to make considering only one is actually a world champion.
 
Alvarez has some of the sickest fights. Those two Chandler fights would make anyone a fan.

It's a shame a lot of people haven't seen them.

One of the most exciting fighters in the game. Plays it safe against a former champ and of course 90% of sherdog calls him boring now. Fucking mind boggling.
 
His Tank Abbot article was spot on.

He's fighting smart, and following his game plans to win. If you have championship aspirations, you have to compromise and follow a gameplan that, even though you may not like, will make your victory that much easier to attain.
 
Some people hold off and play it safe until the title fight. Look at Holm, she was tearing shit up outside the UFC, stand up looks crisp on the first few fights but never really dominates. Gets into the title fight and completely destroys Rousey. Avlarez destroyed people outside the UFC, we know what hes capable of. We know how exciting he can be, I see this fight being something he has fought his entire career for. Dudes gonna go all out, it is going to be a phenomenal fight with 2 animals. WAR ALVAREZ! Go for that Jeremy Stephens supercut from hell and take his head off
 
Yea im good with eddie and the way he fought pettis. He fought the fight he can win. No shame in that.

Even eddie said in an interview recently he thinks rda is the kind of fighter to force him to fight an exciting fight. Looking forward to it.
