Yoel took away Luke's kicks by hurting him every time he threw one

So Luke was left with either punch or try TD

Yoel was too fresh and dangerous for TD's so Luke was left with only punching

He based his gameplan on kicking, and got hurt by checks or elbows each time he tried

Nothing wrong with Luke's gameplan nor his chinny chin chin

He just had no answer for the Lizard King
 
What are you even talking about? His gameplan got him knocked the fuck out.
 
Wasn't listening to the commentary but why was Yoel carried off on 1 leg?
He looked fine until adrenaline dump after fight
 
So Yoel’s short camp that consisted of him going to a TKD school and working kick defense was a perfect strategy.

Even found a tall Luke clone (w/beard) to “immulate”
 
I only criticize Luke. Not his plans. And this ain't no game. He just got KO'd again.

He actually had the right game plan, but reverted back to his old tendencies and reacted poorly when being swarmed by Yoel.


He is a great fighter but let's face it he doesn't have the best chin. That's fine. So protect it. He needs to not only learn but actually use basic boxing foot work. Also use more feints and combination punching to set up his devistating kicks.


His ground game is as solid as it gets.

Concieve, believe, achieve.
 
His gameplan was fine. His lack of striking defense got him KOd.

He could've worked a clinch dirty boxing strategy. He didn't. And got knocked out.

The guy has trained with DC and Cain for years. He proclaims that he is the most well rounded fighter in the UFC. But he can't get inside and initiate a clinch?

Luke’s gameplan should have been to refuse the fight when Yoel missed weight.
