For all of those who still believe Barboza has a bad chin because of the Cerrone fight.

Explain to me why since that fight he hasn't been dropped? I just don't follow the logic. Every time Barboza is fighting someone, people say:

"He will find Barboza's chin, guaranteed he hits harder than Cerrone's jab."

But he's been hit with a plethora of shots since that fight and hasn't been dropped again. Shots from Ferguson (who dropped Thomson multiple times), Michael Johnson (lightweight leader in Knockdowns), Paul Felder, Bobby Green, Evan Dunham, and Anthony Pettis. All of those guys hit him harder than Cowboy's jab.

Honestly, explain to me if he's a glass chin, how he wasn't KTFO by all of those guys.

Judging someone for getting dropped with a jab is retarded. Your brain doesn't know what punch you're getting hit with. If the timing is right and you don't see it coming, it could be anything. Remember this?

I think this could be the only one punch KO of Diaz's Career and it was over the guy who arguably has the best chin at WW.

to be fair, it wasnt jus the Cerrone fight. It was the Varner and Castillo fights too

He got hit with bombs in those fights though.. To be rocked by that is expected.

Good call. That's what did it for me. I am not saying his chin is gone, but I don't trust it.

He doesn't recover well from being rocked. There's no arguing against that.

Castillo fight?
Didn't he lose that fight?
Maybe im confusing him with Varner whose equally as annoying.

Sorry I've seen Barboza hurt too many times by far less talented strikers than himself. He's already had a ton of fights and his chin is not good anymore. Luckily he is so damned technical he can still win big fights. Im a fan

He came back and won....

I rematched his fights before the Pettis fight. He's been dropped twice in his entire career. I think it just gets passed around so much that he's KO'd left and right, that people lose track of what actually happens.

He was finished by Varner, Rocked but not dropped by Castillo, and Dropped by Cerrone. Thats it in 15 UFC fights and 8 FOTNS.

His chin is alright. Got rocked a few times but he's only been TKO'd once.

Pettis didn't really land anything big on him though.

Most people on this forum know fuck all about striking and think that distance fist travels to chin is the only indicator of how hard a punch is so if someone gets knocked down by a short hard punch or a stiff, sneaky shot it means they're not tough or have no chin.

This is the right answer but people will fight it

There was a thread a few years back with videos of him getting KOd in MT and kickboxing fights too.

So you're saying people are basing their assumptions factoring in his kickboxing career?

I love how people bring up the Cerrone fight and don't acknowledge the "harder" shots that he ate before getting dropped with the jab

The first words out of Joe Rogan's mouth..

"Of all the strikes Cerrone landed, it was a jab that puts him down. Amazing!"

This, it's a myth!

Any links to those?
He's talking about one fight. I looked it up its one of the ones on youtube.

So two TKO/KO losses in 21 MMA fights and 28 Pro Muay-Thai Fights.
