One of my biggest flaws in the standup game seems to be footwork. Do you guys have any tips on improving footwork?

first practice stayin on the balls of your feet. Second practice circlin around the ring while on the balls of your feet with your guard up. practice moving forward and backward with balance. Then practice side steps. Then work up to combining footwork and feints with strikes.

Jumprope also helps alot, most people are too lazy to train footwork sepratley, so use it as part of your warmup.....

Id also say take a salsa class or talk to some WTF TKD guys about footwork..

skip rope, run back wards, lots of shadow boxing, move your feet when you work bag.

Do you just have crummy footwork all around or are you one of those guys who starts off with decent footwork only for it to go to shit later?

Much like the starter of this post I lack foot work. I will even admit my foot work is horrible, atleast in my eyes. When moving forward or backwards striking, my feet become tangled and I find myself walking when i am moving forward. While this seems to be my body's natural reaction to walk. It feels horrible especially when through hands. One person mentioned foot work drills. Could you possibly list some footwork drills or links to sites that have them. Footwork is one of my goals this year and something that I think could make me a much much better striker. Would like some to practice after my ankle heals up from its surgery.
