I feel I got deep enough on all the reps, but I have a twinge in my right ankle that prevents me from going much lower.

Anything you guys see that I should fix?
 
I don't like to go that heavy on my calf raises. With that much weight you can't really target the muscles properly.
 
ahab, actually i would probably slow down the reps a bit and get a better stretch. you'll gain more muscle and strength and i bet you'll notice a instant improvement in your vertical
 
I wish I could be at the gym at the same time this video was being taken, throwing a shaker cup at the guy "take your nitro tech, douche bag"

Be sure to properly stretch the gastrocnemius during your warmup, it'll help prevent that twinge, and even give you a better pump.

The needle stimulates blood flow to the area for an extra pump. Notice my fully tatted arms and their corresponding size.

You really think that ankle twinge could be due to a tight gastroc? Hmm... you just might be right.
 
I always wear long board shorts so girls check out my calves, since I train them but not really my legs or posterior chain. They get worked enough by running.
 
Your not grunting enough.
I was saving my energy from grunting to do the raises. Also tried to keep my face neutral so that didn't take away concentration from the lift.

I usually go through a gallon of naNO Vapor during a workout, think thats enough?
 
If you scream DRAAAAAAAAINAGE while you're doing the reps, it'll help you focus on the muscle fiber contractions.
 
drainage? that particular word? I'd like to know more science behind that particular word.

Is it some thing to do with how the body moves while screaming drainage or is it some psychological reaction that gets my subconscious involved in muscle building?

Is there a similar word for building the inner chest?
 
Work on exploding out of the hole with these. Be sure to train the antagonist. The front calf mussels should not be neglected.
