We all know there is no chance the UFC will let Conor fight outside the UFC. If you really analyze the situation between the UFC and Conor it all makes sense. They are clearly at odds with each other if you have followed the last month of the saga.
I have reason to believe its over money considering Conor has bent over backwards to save 2 UFC cards after his opponents pulled out. Who else has done more press for the UFC then Conor?...No one on the Roster the last year.
When is the last time Floyd mayweather has called out to actually fight a MMA fighter?? never. Floyd has also said that the fighter's should always get the lion share of the money. Thats why his last fight with Berto generated 800K PPV buys and he pocketed a whopping 70 million.
This give's Conor leverage against the UFC, the biggest PPV star ever in sports wanting to fight him in a Boxing match and Conor is running with it. The UFC does not like this, dont you find it ironic that well this Conor vs Floyd rumor is going we get news that the UFC might be up for Sale. I think this was a ploy by the UFC to take attention away from the Conor saga.
Floyd is having fun with this and we know his stance on promoters, that's why he broke free with Arum. He understands Conor's problem's just think 800k buys 70 mill payday vs 1.4 mill buys for Conor and a 10 mill payday. I have a feeling him and Conor have spoke on phone and are working together on this. Floyd also talks about making Jon Jones apart of TMT but we all know with the Reebok deal thats not possible.
