Stressing over being able to pay bills. I need to make some desperation moves just to be able to stay afloat. Some of you may remember I lost my job suddenly and had massive car repair bills hit at the same time. Have a new job but money is hella short.

I need a loan tbh but my bank doesnt even offer personal loans. I need to call around and see what I can do.

Who else is drinking themselves stupid tonight to forget how broke they are?

Yeah I've been there man it sucks. I have great parents though so that helps a lot. Thank god I just got back from a pipeline job in Chetwynd bc so I'm good to sit on my ass for the next couple of months until the next pipeline job in June comes up but I can't stand sitting on my ass that long. After a week of not working I just get bored so I get whatever local construction job I can find and then back at it with ledcore when the next pipeline job comes up.

i drink all the time, but im on a budget, cant you cut some expenses for a while?

Oh believe me, Im cutting everything. Im going to be eating a lot of potatoes for a few months

How much are you short on your bills this month?
I have to come up with around $200-$600(depending on how much this next big bill is going to be). I also have monthly medical bills I'm paying off for the next 10+ years, I'll need to call them and tell them I can only pay 1/3rd what I usually do. I'm sure it wont be a problem but if it is then Ill be behind over $1000. I wont ask any family to help me out. I dont want to get them involved in my failure.

If I can survive this month and the next I'll be fine. Losing my job suddenly just really hurt me. I could have taken unemployment but I had too much pride.

Unfortunately my new job has no overtime available

You should of taken unemployment and said fuck your pride, the bills need to get paid. what about friends? Do you have any friends that can lend you some money? In Canada we have places like money mart that will lend you money at like 20% interest.

Dude, they made your failure of an ass, hit them up. Pride is a fickle beast, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and ask.

Drowning yourself in alcohol just seems like drinking money to me, which is the opposite way your looking to go.

Being broke or being really short on money is just the pits. Having to borrow money and not having enough money to take care of basic needs is frustrating as a grown man.

Hope you can get things together soon. No bullshit

All my friends have their own bills to pay. We are young and most of them have loans of their own they are paying off from college.

I'm going to look around for a loan, its just hard since I work all week. Not sure how many places will be open on the weekend. As little as 2k would be perfect and I could be well back on my feet in a few months. We will see

I already own the booze and stressing my hair out isn't going to help anything. If anything, it makes me think less clearly stressing so much. Theres no personal loan places open right now. Im working on a gameplan. I'll be alright, just wont be able to spend any money on anything but the absolute necessities for a while.

Don’t pay them, stretch it off as far as possible.

Yeah I feel for you. Most of my buddies are young but work pipeline so they make crazy amounts of money per week so asking them for a couple grand is really nothing. Call on your lunch breaks and try to get a loan. what do you do for a living?
