How long have you been training?
I would recommend not going for that flying armbar anymore.. #1, it wasn't deep, even when he tapped it didn't look deep, and 99.9% of the people would have gotten out before you went to the ground.. On your shot, don't initiate the shot from a back step.... and when you go for the shot, don't spread your arms wide open and keep neck out.. be sure to keep your shoulders up to avoide the choke.
In the second fight, when they guy had your back and went for mount, block his knee and roll into him.. You could have improved your position instead of letting him get the dominant position.
When you were in side control, you thought too much of just mount, and not maintaining position.. Suck up his arm, control the position and work to mount, or knee on belly then mount... You easily gave him the half guard.
When you had his back, what were you trying to do? You just laid there until he did something, you should have thrown in your hooks, he wasn't blocking them, if I am not mistaken, you could have easily trapped an arm too, thus giving you a MUCH better chance to work in a RNC.
WHen you were in half guard, don't worry about playing patty cake.. or handsies.
Your lucky your opponent kept opening his guard, and letting you out, because you weren't working on passing the guard. I think you started to dig your elbows, but you had no posture.
I only got 5:30 into the second fight, when I couldn't take it anymore.. he had your back, and since you said it was a 10 min fight, I figure the position was reversed really quick, and what not...
Nice to see you compete at a way higher weight though
