Today I took my first day of grappling ever after much boxing and kickboxing. I went to CMAC in Lethbridge under Lee Mein. I showed up early and sat against the wall until the class began. Lee was not in so one of his more experienced students filled in for him. We ended up having pretty much an open forum where we learned techniques that anyone happened to struggle with. We ended up learning a guard pass, a side choke transition from back control, an anaconda, and an armbar from the bottom. I partnered up with a higher belt, and let him know right away that I'm a newbie. He pretty much just wanted to teach me and didn't care to practice himself. Very glad I took this first step by going to class today.

P.S. I now fully understand why people wear rashguards. That shit hurts.
