Who do you think will be the first champion to hold 2 titles consecutively? I would imagine it would be one of the 135-145-155 pound division guys. Maybe Jon Jones. Probably not GSP or Anderson Silva, that's for sure. But just let me know what you guys think. Whoever is the first one is gonna be a star.
It should have been BJ. But he didn't have his shit together. Man, He could have been an awesome ass with 2 belts.
Demmit ! Beat me to it! Anderson Silva and, also, Jose Also DEFINITELY. Jon Jones is my only other consideration.
I don't think they'll allow anyone to have both at the same time, but Aldo is taking the LW strap when he moves up.
Jones can hold the HW belt but he cant hold them consecutively, when he goes up he will relinquish his belt if anyone can not fortuitously beat him. I dont see him holding both at the same time unless he fights the HW champion while he is currently the LHW champion. If Silva fights GSP and beats him, he could hold two belts since he will most likely be fighting GSP while he still holds his belt. Same as Jones with Silva, Silva will still probably have his belt. MM, Aldo, GSP if he went down. A few fighters can hold two belts but the UFC policy is that they usually dont allow fighters to hold two belts in two divisions consecutively.
Why would they take away a draw like that? What if Jon Jones wanted to fight in Heavyweight and Light heavyweight? Everytime he fought in light heavyweight again they would just crown him as the NEWWWWWWW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION of the world and then just turn right around and relinquish it when he went on to fight a young up and comer in the heavyweight division?
