I have a lot more footage to work into this and some of this will be taken out....I have to convert some of my better footage to be usable with windows movie maker......otherwise this would have been way better. also....for some reason after i saved and uploaded the music track is kinda off.......any tips for that? anyways, Im working on highlights for my whole comp team...this was kinda the trial run....please critique/flame:)

EDIT #2:
k die antwoord is gone.....the stupid intro is gone......highlight is now about 2 1/2 min shorter and much better imo....check it out and give feedback please!

EDIT:

new highlight of my team mate Amanda Loewen. feedback please!

man, those first 2 sweeps you hit looked effortless.

thanks for the compliments guys.

bebop-the flower sweep is one of my favorite sweeps and one of the techniques I have spent a lot of time in the gym drilling. its still hard to execute on good guys though without telegraphing it (grip on pants)

the editing program I am using is windows live movie maker. Im having issues getting iphone footage into movie maker to edit:( also the music track shifted several seconds when i saved it:( need to research a little i think.

Passing your guard looks like a tough task.

Wow, Enter The Ninja, really bro? So awesome...

you must have missed the part of my op where I wrote that the song was a joke and would be changed when i finish this:) as corny as it is in a bjj highlight, that song is still awesome as is that band....check em out.

the song I think im going to use is called "song for tonight" by on of my fav bands Suicide File

its a couple min shorter as well, i think 5 min might be too long for a amateur highlight.

and on a parting note, im not your brother:)

A bit too much of the hand slapping and stance at the beginning, aside from that nice jiu jitsu (saying this as a fellow purple belt). Very technical and good selection of clips. And I watched it muted, so I can't comment on the song.

Might I add, that's a rather fancy stance you have for pulling guard!

Have you considered upgrading your software? If so any recomendations

thank you, this is exactly the kind of feedback i was looking for....im working on several highlights for a couple members of my team as well as a highlight for my whole gym so this is great as I begin those.

I have to agree with you about the beginning, at first I was trying to line up clips with the music....the problem with this is a)no one likes the music (lol) and b) its a boring way to bring it in.....im gonna cut all those clips wayyyyyyy down for my finished highlight will only be about 3 minutes i think.

My stand up game in tournaments, my team actually make fun of my about this a lot so im not surprised you commented on it. I have found that getting really low makes it extremely hard for people to pull guard on me. And also, its amazing how many times I hear the coaches call "get ready for the shot!" when I take my low stance....which is funny because my wrestling is one of my weaknesses in my game (though Ive been working on it daily) The rest of my stand up game is a lot of nervous energy.:)

thank you again

bump, added highlight of team mate

this one is a lot shorter/tighter.........feedback would be great.

First of all, sweet HL with some nice techniques.

But, is it just me or does the HL-maker equal CB Dollaway ? :)

The audio discrepancy might be your audio sampling rate going from 44.1kHz to 48kHz (or vice versa) when you encode/transcode your footage to different files types (for use with WMM, or whatever). It's a very slight difference, but as a video goes on at length, the delay will get worse.
