Firas Zahabi says he thinks GSP will fight again

I wish he would stay out. I'm a huge gsp fan, and I thought he was starting to fade a bit (not just in his last fight). He walked off into the sunset with the belt, and i'd hate to see him tarnish his legacy.

I think he will as well.

I think there's too much money and he wants to prove not only to the world but also to himself that when he wants it, he can be the best fighter in the world bar none.

But for now he's enjoying himself and training with a ton of different people around the world, and not just MMA either but gymnastics and general athletics.

If/when GSP comes back, whoever they put in front of him, whether it's Hendricks or Anderson Silva or Robbie Lawler or anyone else, they better watch out.

Not really my place to say but if Firas was really Georges friend, he would encourage him to stay retired.

Nothing left to prove and retired from MMA with a great life and health in tact.

Agreed, but too much money to be made for both the UFC and St-Pierre.

No doubt in my mind that he will return.

IMO the fight with Anderson is the only fight he should come back for. It should be both mens retirement fight, complete with an induction into the HOF.

We'll see..
But GSP is a smart guy.
He shouldn't come back unless the UFC throw something like 10M at him to take a winnable superfight

I'm sure he will come back. I'm fromt Montreal and a friend of a friend knows him and he is 100% sure he will fight again.

I don't think he was fading at all, but he just didn't look like he wanted to be there in his last fight with Hendricks.

Maybe he was fed up for a while and that's why he was fighting so safe and "boring", but hey that's how you keep the belt and make the $$$. Great fighters don't make mistakes.

I'd like to see him sign a 2 year deal and take 6 more fights. 3 per year. If he gets the fire in him to fight, I'd like to see him become "Rush" again.

When Ray Leonard saw Duran fight a close 15 rounds with Hagler, it convinced him that he had a chance against Hagler. The Diaz - Anderson fight just did the same for GSP. GSP called Weidman over Anderson too. I think GSP may have found his courage Maybe he will think that his riddum will hold up because he was not impressed by Anderson's performance. Maybe he can go greaseless too.

Stay retired, enjoy life, have a family, he's already de greatest. Anyone think he should make LW if he wants to be back? Nowadays WWs are huge

IMO the greatest champion in UFC history.

If by ''greatest champion'' you mean humble, gracious and a great ambassador to the sport, I agree. But if you're talking about dominance Jon Jones might have something to say about that.

Jones has quantifiably beaten the cream of the crop. I just have never, ever seen a top guy be such a politician or campaigner like Jones before, not Fedor, not Big Nog, not St. Pierre, not Anderson Silva. I respect Jones as the talented fighter, dominant fighter, I guess I don't like his persona or ego.

If so it should be at 155, would be great for him, the UFC, and the 155lb division.

Lol GSP is never competing in MMA again guys. He's just staying ambiguous about it to keep his hype going.

i hope he fights again
one of my favourite fighters back when he used to come to finish fights 5 years ago
even now very intriguing to watch him completely dominate a top fighter for 25 minutes

does anyone else have a nagging doubt that gsp was on some banned performance enhancers that may of been picked up by these random between fight tests they now do, or improved drug testing for epo or similar

he made a hell of a fuss when hendricks wanted wada out of competition testing

seems strange hed quit whilst still in his prime
didnt have any serious injury that forced him out of sport
