What Jones did was incredible. Jones fight vs. Gane was fight of the year, had that epic feel to it in the lead up and he finished him like a newborn baby. When you watch the rest of the so called elite fighters grab legs for 25 minutes and act like they're hard, you remember what a rare pleasure it is to watch a fighter like Jon fight. Might be the GOAT or may not be depending on who you ask, but the guy is a legend.

What? Had Gane had any grappling whatsoever and especially defensive grappling, Jones would be doing exactly what you’re complaining about.

That's not why Gane got finished. He was caught up in the moment. Still, that's the game and Jones is an animal who is not content to win on points, always looking for a finish.

No he s not, he is giving his opinion. An opinion which is a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

Bonds is still an all time great but not a single intelligent MLB historian refers to Bonds as the GOAT.

Please don't invoke a sport you don't care about to try to make a bad point.
Also, tons of baseball people think of bonds as the greatest player ever.
