Yeah, would be an awesome move plus he would then go back to 155.

Could you imagine GSP and BJ joining forces?

    155 would be fucked.

BJ is so lazy he'll probably ask Firas to bring TriStar in Hawaii

I echo everyone else sentiments. Would love to see Penn back at lw and training with a real team.

I doubt it will happen but if he went there and decided to move to lw the penn fans would come out in hordes declaring he's back. I would be pumped as well but I can't see him doing this. I actually think the bj that showed up against rory was the best penn we've seen in years. Rory is just way bigger, stronger, younger and wanted it more. Bj was tentative and has lost quickness and aggression. Tristar won't bring those back.

BJ has too much pride and is waaaaaaaaaaay too lazy to go to Montreal and actually train hard. Also, he wouldn't have his army of yes men who laugh at his unfunny jokes so yeah, that's just not happening.

Penn would be an absolute wrecking machine if he trained with Rory and Georges and fought at 155.

He's never going to do it.

    1. Don't think he's motivated to train for mma anymore, and he never really was that hard a worker to begin with.

    2. It's always very assuring for lazy people to hear; "you would be so good if you just applied yourself". He could always fall back on lack of motivation or cardio for his losses. If he had a world-class training camp and partners and he still loses his next fight he would have absolutely no excuse to fall back on.

Don't get me wrong, he's obviously a talented fighter, but perhaps he's not as good as he always thought. Besides cardio he always seemed to miss certain qualities that make a fighter truly great, things like tenacity and the ability to adapt during a fight.

If BJ went to Tri-Star and dropped back down to 155, I think it would be good for him. It would be rough for him to walk into that gym.
