Ziplock now sells microwave steamer bags, they work great and the veggies come out looking and more importantly tasting great.

I also have a bamboo steamer, haven't seen one for years though and it takes like 5 minutes and there kick ass

interesting facts, i had always been told that steaming was the best way to cook them. will now look more at microwaving! so much easier too!!

I was watching good eats and the whole episode was about broccoli and they said that microwaving broccoli actually destroys 74-90% of the antioxidants. Anyone ever hear of this?
