I've always wondered how the whole fighters/gym layout is. Does every UFC have to pay for their training, or are some gym's giving free training to their elite-pro fighters? Read a comment that said some fighters cant afford a camp unless guaranteed a fight and had me think.

Depends on the gym. Some guys also train other fighters, are sparring partners etc. Some camps don't take anything at all.

I am pretty sure the gym\trainers takes anywhere from 3-5% of the fighter's gross income in exchange for everything else

Most gyms I know charge a monthly fee, and anyone that brings the gym a lot of validation like a UFC fighter usually trains for free
    Thats local gyms.

The big gyms cost considerably more but have more elite fighters and coaches to train with

    It varies
