Man, some of these are pure shit.
That John C. Reilly scene is just crap. There's two scenes here where the camera man gets in between the characters and they just start popping in out of the side from nowhere.
You can barely hear John C. Reilly every time he turns his back.
That one of Nick Stahl crying as he wanders through the woods is cut like the Joker stuff from Suicide Squad.
Most of this belonged in the dumpster.
The Larry Romano stuff just seemed like a manufactured conflict because there wasn't anywhere near enough drama in the movie. Contrast that to something like Platoon where every minor conflict built its way to the showdown between the Elias / Taylor and Barnes factions by the end.
Clooney was pretty good in his deleted scene, but it was better to have his character come in out of nowhere at the end. May as well have kept the Brody stuff.
