Filming a short film - accepted into a Virgina film festival for this fall

Hello Mayberry

I have written a little 15 minute movie and put some people together to film it. Going to film it on an “Alexa” which is apparently a very good camera. I wrote it and paid for it; went to a consultation to figure out how to put the rest together, found actors and other people to run the departments and now we’re going to shoot it.

It’s a dark comedy take on the 1914 winter truce. We found a trench in southern Ontario to shoot in and got costumes from a place called Hessian antiques.

Edit - Did the filming at the end of Jan and it looks great! Pictures to be posted soon

good luck. thats an undertaking even just at 15 minutes. a lot of steps in the process from start to finish. if u can maybe put in a sherdog easter egg that would be wonderful. like a ufc hot dog brander or one of the soldiers wearing a rebook shirt.

Took a month of calling and searching before a librarian told me to check out a FB group for this guy who digs at a trench on his property every day. Been going out to visit there for about half a year, working things out.
