An under the radar fight this weekend is Figuerido vs Moraga.

Figuerido has quietly gone 3-0 in the UFC, with his last two wins being over undefeated fighters. While the win over Brooks was controversial, Figuerido showed he is a legit contender with his dominant performance over Joseph Morales.

Moraga has been a long time staple of the 125 division, who seems to have hit his peak. He now finds himself on a 3 fight win streak (his longest streak during his UFC tenure), with big wins over Bibulatov and Reis.

Winner of this fight will now be on a 4 fight win streak at 125 (the longest in the division), and one has to think in line for a title shot in this relatively shallow division. Figueirdo is a slight favorite, but really, this should be even odds.

Fig is tough and seems to have much power. Even dropped this last opponent with jab. Moraga will be huge step up for him. Real test now if he beats Moraga he is for real

Moraga is kinda like a Fly weight gate keeper , you beat him and you are suddenly put into title contention .
I like fly weight bouts so I can't wait .

Should be a good fight. Other than the headliner, really the only divisional relevant bout on the entire card.

I don't believe this is necessarily true,he's looked real good and improved lately.Buuut he seems to have mixed performances in general so maybe he just had a few good days and will be less than spectacular this weekend.

I have Figuerido in a close but clear decision,it's a tight one.

This could be a number one contender fight with the winner facing Henry/DJ

Did this fight get on the main card?

I'm liking Fig, 14 - 0 with 12 finishes. Which is impressive for a flyweight..

Interested to see if he can make a run..

Seriously, watch his fights against Beltran and Morales. He looks like wanderlei silva in there, just walking down his opponents landing huge power shots.

Glad to see it got bumped back up to main card. John Moraga is very entertaining.

If that's what Figuerido wants Moraga will comply,

Deiveson is the only new contender coming up in the flyweight division AFAIK. So the division kinda needs him to win.

I don't see him getting a title shot with a win yet though, since no one knows who he is and he doesn't seem to even have a Twitter account.

But there isn't really anyone else for Cejudo to fight if he doesn't get TJ and if DJ is injured. So he'll probably just sit out and wait for DJ to recover for the trilogy fight.

    Not true.

Alex Perez is looking extremely bright.

Nicolau was looking hot until he just got stopped by Ortiz.

Nurmagomedov just won a controversial decision over Scoggins, and is clearly in the mix.

Assuming he signs with UFC, ACB champion Askar Askarov is unquestionably the best 125 prospect in the world. (Fightmatrix ranks him #10 in the world based on ELO rankings http://www.fightmatrix.com/mma-ranks/flyweight/)

Why no chance? They'd have a decent case. Cejudo could sneak it in before DJ (Depending how long he's out).

If fili beats Johnson, he'll probably break into the top 15. But yes, this card is slim pickings.

Pantoja looked solid too in his last fight against moreno, although he definitely coasted the last round, which I hate.

Moraga is a gatekeeper, Figueiredo isn't even in the top 10 yet. A win for Moraga wouldn't move him up any, a win for Figueiredo would place him at the lower top 10. There are a bunch of guys in front of them.
