How do you figure Figueiredo would do against some of the top guys at Bantamweight? I think he has a good chance at being a real contender. How do you see him holding up against Yan, Moraes, and Aljo? Moraes seems like the only one who would have a power advantage over him.

He will probably do good at 135 but he won't be able to walk those guys down while eating their shots like candy like he's done at 125.

I do have to note though that in the second Benavidez fight he was more elusive and was getting caught less than in the first fight.

His power’s effect will be less. He’s a small guy. I don’t think he could be a champion at any other weight.

Does anyone recall watching the Formiga fight? I don’t think I ever saw it, but it happened just last year and Formiga decisioned Fig.

No shame there. Formiga has been a fringe contender for years and up till recently was very tough to beat/look impressive against.

But I think Fig losing that one is strange because he’s exactly the type of elite guy who is likely to beat Formiga.

Since it seems Formiga won the decision based on takedowns, I think the strong grapplers at 35- like Aljo- would be potentially quite problematic.

The striking at 135 is far better than 125 right now. In the past flyweight used to have DJ, Kyoji, Dodson, Lineker, Cejudo etc. There aren't really top strikers now. He relies on his size, power and reach a good deal, all of which would not be as effective. He'd still do well but he has a lot of rough matchups at BW

don't listen to the haters OP, people that say his power will be less dont know what they are saying. you are 100% right with what you said.

why? because henry cejudo himself was a flyweight and his loss of power was not a problem at bantamweight. he actually KNOCKED out natural Bantamweights, lol

He looks old Can't he bothered to wiki him

He looks a bit late possibly
