Just re watching Shogun vs Nog and they mentioned how All of Shoguns fights have been a main event or a co-main event and it made me wonder how many others can say the same. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Mousasi, Cormier, Ronda, Jacare legitimately then James Toney and Carla Esparza with only single fights. Are there any more you guys can come up with ?

In the UFC, probably Aldo and Anderson Silva.

I'd imagine outside of early fights BJ Penn has got to be somewhere in that territory

Anderson has never been outside of a main/co-main even before after holding the belt.

I was just thinking about this and what makes Shogun's case unique is that he has 15 fights in the UFC, but only 3 title fights, and his overall UFC record is 7-8. Taking that into consideration, it makes his main/co-main status more impressive, IMO. He is the most prominent case of Pride legend status carrying over into UFC promotion.

    Wrong.

Giblert vs Deigo was under Cormeir vs Neslon & Dos Satnos vs Veslaquez at UFC 166

Wand vs Rampage at UFC 92 was under Mir vs Nog & Griffin vs Evans. UFC 20 Wand fought Tony Petarra in the second fight of the night.

Nah. UFC 43 vs Eastman was under Kimo vs Tank & Chuck vs Randy 1.

Then UFC Japan, the Wand fight was under Miletich vs Burnett & Shamrock vs Lober. So add that to Wand's too.
