Brock never was an excuse-maker iirc. He could have easily played the diverticulitis card.

Holly had a pretty brutal loss in boxing and was interviewed right after. She didn't make any excuses. Just said she didn't fight smart.
 
Hunt, after reading his biography he fought a lot of fights with an injury or took fights on short notice...hell he hadn't even trained for a lot of his bouts. Only time I can recall him making excuses is the Miocic fight as he didn't cut weight properly.
 
Sonnen is a great guy, when he losses he'll give you mad props too.
 
Excuses come form media "why do you think" questions. "Give us a reason why you lost" translates into an "excuse".
