Fighters who could/should be better than they are.

Only one answer. BJ Penn. No one has as much talent while being as undiscipline n stubborn as he is.

Melvin Guillard is the answer.

as several of you have mentioned,

he is a great nominee.

his weaknesses are not as difficult to overcome as the weaknesses of others, e.g.-

1.chin
2. cardio
3. motivation/work ethic

to me these things are much harder to correct.

I'd put Prime cro cop in Chute boxe and see what happens
possibly fedor would improve if he moved to US
Shogun in Blackzillians.
Moussasi
Khalidov

Came in here to say Guillard. The guy has great wrestling ability, yet never goes for TDs. Also, he gets subbed way too easily.

Schaub if he didn't lack a chin.

BJ (in hindsight) if he would have had a real coach/trainer.

Fedor (yes Fedor) for multiple reasons. One being his unwillingness to split from M-1. Another being his unwillingness to modernize his training methods and camp. The third one being his unwillingness to cut to 205.

Either Diaz brother. Both of them are extremely talented, but neither has shown a willingness to change their game plan, whether it be fight-to-fight or round-to-round no matter who they are fighting or how that fight is going.

Arlovski is another prime example of a guy who was/is unfathomably skilled but lacks a chin.
