Don't remember that many fighters pulling out of a fight due to injury in the early days of the sport, even five years ago. Seems to be way more prevalent these days. Hell in pride they used to fight twice a night in grand prix's.

Why are more fighters pulling out? Just a coincidence or were fighters more likely to fight through injuries back in the day?

There were less fighters then, less money, less events, less everything.

UFC now has better health insurance. Before they didn't so they fought through it for the money to fix themselves up.

Idk but you should lose your spot in line.

Thats what fergy gets for shitting on sage.

Yea but most of these seems to big fights or title fights when fighters are pulling out. Or maybe those are just the ones I notice

For some reason I thought this was going to be a thread about fighters who don't want children.

This I did not think about

I wish some of these guy's fathers had pulled out.

The mentality changed.

A lot of people fought through injuries in Pride.

if they are more able to pull out due to injury the is
likely a good thing
brutal run of main event pull outs lately though...

fighters have always pulled out of fights..... and when fighting in pride they were juiced out of their skulls, no wonder they didnt get injured

Your feelings come back when you're not on steroids which doesn't help for injuries.

just goes to show the respect conor deserves.. guys need to change their training habits

If Jon Jones had pulled out more often his college career would've gone better.

Isn't there a meme somewhere that says "I don't always pull out, but when I do, it's at the last minute"?

Holy shit, it's not that bad.

2012 was the year of the injuries, lots of conspiracy theories about the health insurance.
