Im talking about guys like Roy Nelson and Michael Bisping who were already established fighters who could easily have been given fights in the UFC however were put onto the shiw instead, im sure theres other guys who also fought on big shows yet found themselves on TUF instead

Joe Lauzon after he already had knocked out Pulver, who was one of the coaches for his season.

I believe the 'plan' was for him to be on the show after losing to Pulver, but when he won, it still made for an interesting storyline... not that season 5 needed any more.

Wes Sims, he was obviously already a Goat so there was no point in him going on the show to prove it.

wasnt Jesse Taylor destroying people until he busted that limo?

Shane Nelson for all the wrong reasons.

Nate Diaz also fought Hermes Franca for the WEC belt before getting on the show.

Didn't deserve or were too good to even be there? People that didn't deserve to be there are pretty much endless. People that were to good were probably Esparza- went into TUF already being champ in the best women's organization. Serra-fought people in "the comeback" that never were all that good.

i dont think anyone can top this. not only did the china tuf yoga guy never train before he got into the house, he never fought once he got on the show.

China is run by politically connected families; they call them "military families" over there for some reason.

Any business that a westerner does over there has to go through these influential people, and you have to hire/subcontract out to whoever they tell you to. It's a weird place.

Brookins fought Aldo in WEC before being on TUF

Brookins fought Aldo in Aldo's second WEC fight. Aldo destroyed three other guys on his way to a title fight with Brown. I wouldn't exactly say that meant Brookins was too good to be on TUF. To that point Jonathan hadn't beaten anyone worth mentioning.

Had to be something for Pulver picking teams when one of the guys there had just knocked him out

Gabe Reudiger fought in the UFC before TUF. Was he too good to be there?

people forget that TUF China isn't supposed to be like the 21s edition of TUF china its literally TUF 1 for them, it was exactly like TUF 1, challenges casting completely inexperienced people (Jason Thacker *ahem*) to show that MMA isn't some joe-blow sport its fucking tough as hell...so much that a sparring coach went light in a mock-fight with the Yoga guy and the yoga guy understood that he may have the drive but it takes much more than just wanting to be on a reality show to be an MMA fighter.

And then BJ asks who wants to be on his team and who wants to be on Jens's, and the whole cast says they want to be on BJ's team. Felt bad for Jens.
