Get an easy win to bump up your confidence, then come get your rematch.
I heard Helwani real off some stats about how like the last 10 or so immediate champ rematches have led to the fist loser losing again. Joanna/ Rose, Wonderboy/Tyron among others.

Yea, like I said before, a rematch shouldn’t be too early or too late, but at the point where the tension is maximized.

Well Wonderboy didn't lose the second fight, so it's not as bad. Plus if anyone deserves a rematch, it's Demetrious Johnson.

Especially after getting knocked out. Cody's team should have had him take some time off to work on some things and recover. TJ ended his career like he said he would. Actually TAM as a gym is starting to look like they're finsished too

I think immediate rematches should be rare. Someone like DJ, who defends 11 times and loses a close split decision may be one of those rare situations.

Immediate rematches are short sighted. The winner essentially has to win twice and the loser of pt. 1 risks getting pickled w an 0-2 record against the winner.

If it's a controversial decision or the winner is getting dominated the entire fight and pulls out a spectacular win, then an auto is okay.

If the Champion just gets completely wrecked with no controversy, then they should earn their way back to the TS with a couple/few top wins.

The real crime is that when TJ lost his belt it took him like 2 years to get a chance to earn it back, while Cody gets an immediate rematch cause he's an alleged "draw". Only long reigning champs should get that opportunity, and even then it's not guaranteed in this crap organization(Stipe & Aldo).

There so backward in the way they run things. No head trainer, just there boy's beating the shit out of each other. It's like old school Hammer House shit.

Dominic Cruz may have a point about Faber letting his ego get in the way of growing himself or his team. Can you respect your team mates the same way you respect a experience head trainer like Roufus or Zhabi? Faber fought a title fight with Joe Benvidez as his corner man. Team mate that had LESS fight experience than him. What the fuck?!
