With the recent foolish talk before UFC 196, concerning McGregor going for belts in 3 different weight classes, got me to thinking about fighters that actually have victories in 3 different weight classes within major organizations. There are plenty that have pulled off victories in 2 weight classes, but not many come to mind for 3....

1. The 1st person that I immediately think of is Vitor Belfort. Victories in the UFC HW Division, LHW Division, and MW division. Plus Pride's MW division which was really LHW, and not to mention Affliction's MW Division. He definitely has accomplished this within 1 organization itself (UFC.)

2. Rumble Johnson: Victories in the UFC WW Division, UFC LHW Division, and a victory at HW over Andre Arlovski in World Series of Fighting. Think about this, he has fought in 4 different weight classes, counting the UFC's MW Division fight against ironically....Vitor Belfort.....well.....was supposed to be there if weight was made....

3. You can make the case for Wand. Wanderlei Silva had victories in the UFC MW Division, LHW Division, Pride MW long reigning champ.....and fought at HW beating Fujita in the '06 Pride Open Weight Absolute.

4. I guess you can count Saku????? Probably fought numerous opponents of greater weight, while weighing anywhere from WW to LHW himself.

Anybody think of any other fighters that come to mind???? This is really a rare feat to accomplish.....

Joe Riggs - wins at HW, LHW, MW and WW. I know you said 3, though.

Since Dan Henderson has already been named the only other I can think of is Dan Henderson

shit, i almost mentioned penn, he just didnt win in those other weights.

Bj Penn has wins at 155, 170, and 185.

Also Anderson Silva at 170, 185, and 205.

He beat Renzo Gracie at 185.

That is true, even if it was at Rumble on the Rock.....big win over a big name fighter at the time.
