It sucks for those people signed for those markets where they are just waiting for the UFC to come to their area once or twice per year to get a fight. An example is The Korean Super Boy. He's awesome and finished his last fight fast. He says he wants to be active but he's buried in South Korea til the UFC heads in that area again. Makwan Amirkani(sp) was in a similar boat.

People like him can't even get short notice fights because it's probably not worth the plane ticket to fly him to Vegas or wherever.

So people who aren't "big enough" to be worth it should get some leeway to fight outside the UFC. At least so they stay sharp between their 6-8 months for a fight. The other benefit is they can make some extra dough and build their name locally in the meantime.

I wish they could work something out for them like that.

Would never happen.

Besides promoting another organization (even if they would never be a rival of UFC), that could cause injuries, which would be bad for asian-european cards (when they would happen).

And if a fighter isn't medically cleared when the UFC calls them up after they've fought outside the promotion...?

If Asian fighters could stick with Rizin FC and Europeans stay at Cage Warrior's or Bamma then the prestige and financial benefits will grow in those promotion's. UFC or the U.S won't be the pinnacle of MMA forever.

Or they UFC should just cut down on all these fighters that pop onto a card and you never hear of them ever again. It sucks for a guy like Doo Ho Choi who is a great fighter and really has a chance to get into the top 15 of the division but he can't even get a fight.

Pointless thread. Would not happen in a million years.
