Fighters earning more now than when they were fighting?

I feel for most cases is one of those things you cant have without the other.

Like Sasha Grey and Mia Khalifa making money after doing porn, no one would really care much what they do if it wasnt for her past. So saying they are doing much better doing none sexual media content is not really accurate as their succes is dependant of her past work.

I'd bet Mike Brown is doing better bringing in coaching fees for super stars than he was headlining WEC cards on Versus.

Jay Heiron seems to be doing pretty well as an actor/stunt performer, IDK if it pays better, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Dominic Cruz earned 2 mil in disclosed pay, and I wonder if his on air commentary is closing in on that number.

While I perfectly agree with this, I was curious to know some of the fighters who used their fame to earn more doing other jobs.

Are Jouban and Rockhold earning more as models than when they were fighters?

Fighter can make a lot of money after they build up a name. The UFC is a great vehicle to build up your name.

A lot of promotions, sponsors, and etc offer guys a lot of money for bring Ex-UFC fighter

Rich Franklin is definitely raking in money working with Asians exploiting Asian fighters aka Asian Dana White.

James Kraus. (Although he is still active). The guy is killing it here in Kansas City with Invicta based out of here and his numerous gyms around the metro. His brand is on a winning trajectory.

with all that said, I can’t stand the guy.

Putting aside the top earners, the vast majority are likely making better and more consistent pay in their post-fight careers.

People like Rosi Sexton, Carlos Newton and many others are doing well in completely different professions.

Luke Rockhold? I don't see him in any ads. I think he did something for Polo years ago, their sales dropped because no one wants to look or smell like Luke, and they dropped him like a left hook. He's probably collected more in unemployment over the years than the few thousands he made modeling.

I think that starts to get get into the realm of unanswerable questions; certainly capturing an audience based on ones past work is some reflection of the value of that work, but at least for porn stars that’s a double edged sword because it closes so many potential doors.

Fighters don’t quite have the same dilemma but it’s also a far greater time commitment to fight professionally for, say, 6 years than it is to shoot a few scenes inside of a month. Fighters effectively lose that time in terms of other wealth generating activities.
