Quit whining about Rousimar holding it after Pierce tapped that doesn't matter. When the ref comes in that's what matters and Rousimar didn't hold it that long after the ref came in. I have said on threads and I will say again if that was Shields or Maia tapping Pierce nobody would have complained. Rousimar does have a history of this but Wednesday night I don't feel as if he did anything wrong.

Was it the classiest way to submit a guy? No he could have stopped when Pierce was screaming and tapping but as far as the rules go the time after the ref came in was just Rousimar untangling his body from Pierce. People see a guy that has messed up before and take a millisecond late and run with it. Like I said if that was someone else tapping Pierce nobody would have called it late. Rousimar has messed up in the past but Wednesday night was not an example and he got screwed.

Yes and no. When I guy is screaming out and tapping you know as the other fighter that the fight is over and can let go, there is no need to wait for the ref in a situation like that.

So you just mangle a dude and cripple him even though you know the fight is over?

What do you think taps are for?

True, attacking fighter shouldnt choose to end it, defending, tapping, screaming fighter ends it immediately!!!

You're not supposed to hold it at all after the ref steps in.

That's like saying Daily didn't hit Koscheck much after the bell, just the one time.

Of course in Rousimar's defense, he might have been distracted from the ref by all that screaming and tapping that had been going on before the ref stepped in.

So no one here has ever been rolling around and caught someone and had them tap before the sub was even in and squeezed a bit more afterwards? beyond that question imho i don't think his actions were malicious at all and did not warrant being banned.

some fighters end fights, they walk away when KO someone, even before Ref steps in

I did know of a green belt who would choke out white belts if they tapped too early, but he was generally known as the "Mat Spaz".

Watching live it didn't seem too long, but on the replay you can clearly see him crank harder as the ref is pushing on his arms.

The ref has to stop the fight, not pry your arms off your opponent's limbs. I can't believe people are still arguing about this.

what fight were you watching? he held it after the ref stopped it. he's done it before. he's been caught for PEDs! it was the accumulation of offenses that caused his release, not just weds.
