So me and my friend were just discussing about Johny Hendricks.

Johny Hendricks is currently (14-1)

His resume in his past three fights were all against fighters in the top 10.

Jon Fitch - (24-4-1) - #2 Ranked Weltwerweight at the time.
Josh Koscheck - (17-6) - #7 Ranked Welterweight at the time.
Martin Kampmann - (20-6) - #6 Ranked Welterweight at the time.

& now he's fighting Jake Ellenberger - (28-6) - the #7 Ranked Welterweight currently.

If he beats Ellenberger, he'll have 4 top 10 wins in a row and he doesn't even have the title yet. He'll advance to 15-1.

Is there any fighter who has beaten alotta top competition w/ such a small resume?!

Jon Jones beat the best fighters in his division after he won the title and defended it.

Chris Weidman is the only other guy that comes to mind in terms of this.
Is there anybody else?

Machida and JDS

Most fighters in MMA don't have many fights comparatively to say Boxing. Look at Brock, I mean come on. In what other sport could you pick up and win a title in such a short time.

JDS and Machida had long roads to the title. Jim Miller had a long streak but no big name opponents.

Hendricks has a great win streak going right now and I think he will get passed Ellenburger too. Its horrible that he isnt fighting GSP

Mauricio Shogun Rua in his PRIDE grand prix run.
