Just finally watched that fight...dirty as FAWK. He was eye gouging throughout the entire 2nd round. Stuck his thumb in Shield's eye to push his head back numerous times. Palhares did that twice before being Mazzagatti called a timeout to give him a warning. After that timeout, Palhares did it three more times and the last two times were in the last 15 secs of the fight. Deplorable.
It's not true that Palhares is a dirty fighter? Is it not true he eye gouged Shields NUMEROUS TIMES? Is it not true he has held onto NUMEROUS submissions longer than necessary even after his opponents clearly tapped? Just the Shields submission, alone, Shields had to tap 9x before Palhares let go. Take off the blindfolds gents.
How many times must a guy tap and ignoring the ref when the ref is trying to pull you off??? Yet he's not dirty and is clearly not holding onto the submission any longer than necessary, right?

^^^^ Those gifs show Palhares rubbing Jakes face, they don't show any fingers/thumbs in the eyes. He might've poked, he might have fake-poked to throw Jake off. Those gifs are all inconclusive.
You stop cranking when the ref stops the fight, not when the fighter taps. Against Pierce he held the sub for too long, in the other gif he stops as soon as the ref touches him. He was already punished for the Pierce incident.

After looking at those and knowing that we didn't see any actual gouges, we just saw what looked like Palhares feeling around for an eye... Is it not possible that Palhares was threatening to poke Jake as a tactic to keep him occupied? Of course it is.
Have any of you ever been poked in the eye or got some dirt or something in your eyes, they get bloodshot. Somehow Jakes eyes defy science and look normal after 8 gouges... or maybe he was lying about being gouged. And there is clear evidence of Jake accusing Palhares of still gouging when we could see that he wasn't. So he's not a reliable source.
Maybe he poked, maybe he didn't. Only Jake and Rousimar know and both are bias. Steve MAzzagatti was the one closest to the action by far and he took no points away so he didn't see any pokes. Sherdog mods don't operate on rules, they operation on their whims. I've seen people blatantly bashing Paul Harris and not get dubbed. And I've seen people merely allude to calling Brock a douche and get dubbed.

Not trying to justify the bashing but Wand and Nick Diaz have been "burned to the ground similarly"
Karo was after his altercation with Nate on TUF.
Tim Sylvia got a lot of way over-the-top hate. He literally had no fans, but the haters bashed him so bad that lots of us started to like Tim out of sympathy.
I'm sure there are other examples.
