Why? Because both guys simply couldn't believe that the other guy was still coming forward. They hit each other with some serious bombs.

Through the battle, they developed huge admiration for each other.

I can sign on this. Amazing fight, Lots of heart and Pride shown in the octogon tonight. Couple that with back and forth action, a decent amount of blood and a Cliff hanger finish on an incredibly hard to score and competitive fight, You got a Fight of The Year right there.
