Fight Alternates?

I was bummed about Hall pulling out of the Belfort fight, I thought it was going to be a barn burner. So why does UFC not have alternates waiting in the wings? Give them a stipend and a plane ticket and make it a catch weight. There will be some fights that I'd be probably waiting for one of the fighters to pull out.

You would think with the Moroz/Moyle fight being cut with a 500 person roster they could fill that hole on weeks notice but I guess not

Because of roster size, expenses, contracts. I believe it's not that big of a problem to demand this type of "solution".

It'd be cool if they had several people on retainer strictly to fill in for these situations. Fighters who could rather easily make multiple weight classes.
