Read the first page of this thread and try and argue that a good portion of the accts on this site aren't shill accounts...

There are more people immediately and aggressively fighting to keep fighter pay absurdly low b/c someone posted an espn article that came out today about the 400 richest Americans and the Fertittas were on it.

You seem so smart. I should listen to you.

Assuming those fans are the people who pay for the PPV, then no, they don't owe them anything beyond the $55 and a thank you. If they'd rather have 56 thank you's instead of the $55 then I'd gladly oblige.

To your point though, I agree that people shouldn't complain about someone else's wealth, in general. None of us know what portion of that is even from UFC profits so our arguments about increasing fighters pay can't be based off these figures.

There wouldn't be a UFC today if not for them. Give them their due man. The fact that they are loaded doesn't mean u shouldn't be thankful towards them. It's not submissive to give rich people credit where it's due

Good for them. Now if they can just find a way to cut costs, like cutting fighter pay and dropping that ridiculous insurance program they can probably crack the top 200.

Ahhh, well I doubt he was a billionaire.

They inherited the Station Casinos.
Owned, no shareholders.

They own Zuffa.
Their influence surely helped MMA meet with official sanctioning from the commission.

They are one of three to be granted a licence for online poker in Nevada.
You don't receive that without a certain amount of clout.

awesome. So what's the point?

since they're worth a billion each does that mean the minimum UFC fighters pay should be a million a fight, even for low tier fighters???

I just know that since they're successful, somehow this will result in hate from casual trailer park MMA fans

The funny thing is that many of them probably also hate Obama, free healthcare, and vote republican nurturing the delusion that there is a good probability they will become rich some day so fuck the poor, i.e. themselves.
