Would you rather collect a big paycheck fighting on a bumb knee or go back to making scraps working your way back to the title?

Pulling out is worse than taking a loss because it's losing without getting a paycheck.

He lost the title and Dana said he wont be making that fight again.
 
He couldn't fight. He was injured badly.
 
Getting cleared by the doctors is a thing..

He torn the ligament off the knee and was told by two doctors that he can't fight. How exactly is he supposed to take the fight? Besides, I wouldn't want to see Khabib fight a man that's severely injured.

I would be completely satisfied to see Khabib a bash a one legged Tony to pieces.

Well I'd rather watch a fair fight than someone basically maul a cripple at that point.
 
He should just not train like he's on meth all the time.

if the doctor wouldn't of cleared tony than it was out of his hand.
 
There’s something called physicals before fights to prevent this from happening and giving us dudes who are actually fit to fight and put on a good show
 
Didn't Fujita or someone in PRIDE 2000 GP tap out immediately after the fight started? That'd be dirty for the fans who paid to watch the main event.

If the rest of the card wasn't unappealing, I'd order Max vs Khabib.

Try walking around with a torn knee ligament, let alone standing in front of Khabib... worst idea I've read all year.
 
Would I fight someone like Khabib with an injured knee just so I can get a paycheck? You'd have to be a complete idiot or desperate to do so. Sometimes, fans (and fans like you) are very narrowminded and dumb fucks. If you are seriously injured, you should not be expected to take a fight. In Tony's case, what makes you think this is his one shot at collecting a big pay check? The Khabib fight is good money and the fight can be made later. If he's lucky, he can also fight McGregor which would be a serious amount of money. This won't hurt Ferguson's wallet long-term.
