Female 115 TUF to crown the champion?

Not unless they made the TUF fights real fights. Even then not so sure about that idea.

Booo lets keep them in invicta or whatever the fuck its called.

The lower womens weight classes are more exciting then 135 womens divison in my opinion, alot of really good grappling, the penne vs waterson fight was a great fight.

Plus the lower weight classes the women look like women not overly muscular

This is kinda what I was thinking. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Would be a great way to introduce a new weight class and make people care about it.

Well the finale would be the only real fight. The title fight

So they would have 3 fights that aren't even registered as amateur to get a title fight? I couldn't be down for that.

Yeah I'd have to agree, Invicta is just getting rolling & 90% the best women under one rook & now all of a sudden the UFC wants a piece & now we're gonna have great female fighters divided between 2 orgs & the UFC is going to hurt Invicta's business.

I am a big fan of Invicta & I don't want to see them go down.

Happened with Matt Serra.

But honestly, I don't like the idea. A tourny spread over an 8 month period or something makes more sense. The TUF tournament is not the same as an actual fight in the UFC where you have a full camp and every advantage for cutting weight. TUF tends to favor smaller competitors in a way that actual UFC fights do not.

They could honor Invicta's champion. But a tourny makes far more sense.

You say you are a big fan of Invicta, but don't have a clue about what their goal was. Invicta was created because when Strikeforce was purchased by Zuffa, Shannon Knapp feared that Dana White wouldn't bring over any female fighters to UFC when Strikeforce was folded. She wanted a place where the women could continue to fight. If Dana White was open to women back then, Invicta never would of happened.

Shannon Knapp and Invicta's goal was to promote and expand WMMA. Now that has happened. The fighters are not going to be divided between two orgs. The best fighters will be in UFC just like they are for 135. If you read Shannon Knapp's statemate, you'll see that she is happy about this. This is what she always wanted. For UFC to accept women. Invicta will continue on and keep developing talntet for UFC.

Invicta's business wasn't rolling along. They still don't have TV and just had a major shakeup with ownership/management. There was only so far they could take WMMA with their very limited resources. Now UFC will take it to a different level and maybe Shannon Knapp will be part of that. There is no one that thinks this is a bad thing. The Invicta fighters, who are going nuts on twitter, certainly love it.

Good I'm glad Shannon is happy with it, doesn't mean I am. Invicta is one of my favorite orgs to watch, I am not as excited for it to be absorbed by the UFC.

Invicta still has some of the better 135'ers like Lesle Smith, Sarah D'allleo as far as I can tell.

I like all female cards, I like the PPV price point, I like not having to wait 15-30 minuts between fights, and I like having all the females under one roof. If the UFC gets 20+ females of each division under one roof great, but that still leaves the other 3 things I liked about Invicta that the UFC will not do.

I agree with you and I add to the list the waiting time between fights, all the drama bs to select title contenders and the company hype.

115 is deeper and more talented than 135 by a ton. Not to mention if Karate hottie and Penne moved up one weight class and joined Jojo Calderwood, Herrig, Bec Hyatt, Paige Vanzant 115 destroys 135 in the looks department as well.
