Fellow Mexicans Alexa Grasso and Irene Aldana have practiced a similar elbow to that one...

I can't find a gif....but if you ever see them shadow boxing or their training videos... they do it.

Crazy that Yair landed it in a fight.

Edit- it's not from that exact same position Yair was in...but still a suprise elbow coming upwards.

Edit- found it from a old post.

Lets have some elbows

So I have to watch WMMA training videos?

I'm gonna pass, but good insight.

So it wasn't luck confirmed ... Sherdog gonna be mad lmfao!!!

I'll do it in Mexican for you:

Nada que ver.

Wow a person practiced a thing that someone else used in a fight.

Revolutionary!

The last one she threw?

Yes. 100%

Yair basically threw an upwards elbow while leaning forward. He didn't even rotate at all. I've never seen that before in a fight.

We need a GIF of it

Oh yeah I totally agree... just felt the it's a similar approach to suprise someone with a elbow they wouldn't expect coming.

So only Mexicans can do it?

Is OP saying that, or is he rather suggesting that their possibly shared camp and fighting style might incorporate it.

Choose wisely.

You ever see that Jon "Bones" Jones guy fight?
