Law Feinstein to introduce 2019 "Assault" weapons ban legislation

I feel like they're grandfathered but we couldn't sell anything over the arbitrary round number they select.

Time to stock up on mags.

GunMagWarehouse is my go to for the shooter folks here.

I almost bought my first D60 for less than $92 the other day . . .

Question for the lawyers and couch lawyers on here, will ar pistols fall under this law?

Under 10 rounds, it may skate by depending on atfs constantly changing defining of a brace

The pistol grip would be allowed since pistol, but the shroud (handguard) wouldn't be so you wouldn't be able to grip the bare barrel and have to mag hold, but maybe

Let's just make sure this bs never passes. We've already seen what a slippery slope gay marriage led to 8 year olds going on hormone blockers. This bill would undoubtedly lead to much, much more

They make assault pistols?

<Ellaria01>

For real though. If you have an SBR with a brace.... is that classified pistol... or rifle for them to fall under this legislation potentially?

The way her tweets are worded it sounds like magazines would not be

  • Bans magazines and other ammunition feeding devices that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, which allow shooters to quickly fire many rounds without needing to reload. Owners may keep existing magazines.
Exemptions to bill:

  • The bill includes a grandfather clause that exempts all weapons lawfully possessed at the date of enactment.

  • Bans assault pistol stabilizing braces that transform assault pistols into assault rifles by allowing the shooter to shoulder the weapon and fire more accurately.
  • Bans Thordsen-type grips and stocks that are designed to evade a ban on assault weapons.

A pistol is a pistol is a pistol . . . but it can accept the magazine so I'm saying it would fall under DiFi's stupid definition.

Gah-damn.

I'm debating buying a 10 pack of Lancers or MagPul mags on my next paycheck. I know MagPuls are just fine, especially for what I do, but I love how Lancers have steel feed lips.

Right now it's a pistol but it's obvious based on what Feinstein wants she wants it to be classified as an SBR.

I've grown partial to Lancer's as well . . . thankfully I can get them at a decent price through RSR.

205 kinds of guns goes way past their assault weapons definition

OMFG Feinstein... you're fuckin' it up for the left!!! That's not what we want! sigh...

This is the mental disease I'm talking about. Let's give access to the best individual weapons to the people that don't give a shit about what the law is and the people with all the power. Makes sense.

How much if I can ask? Most places I see it's JUST under $15 per

Really depends on which ones you get and what level of buyer you are with RSR. I'm not a huge volume buyer so my costs on many items are really close to MAP. $15 is about what my cost would be each for the "generic" Lancers. Plus whatever shipping would be.

How does Hirono keep getting re-elected? She's a doofus . . .

Beats me. Especially after her crack about men needing to sit down and shut up.

Ok, well at least that provision is there. I'll edit my previous post

I'm still vehemently against this as all I see it doing is providing an avenue for a flourishing criminal market for them while no longer letting law abiding citizens purchase.

Plus, we all know if this passed, there'd be more restrictions on firearms in 2 years.

I doubt this gets passed and if it does then I doubt it stands up in court. We didn't have Heller & McDonald on our side back in 1994. If it does, I doubt much of a black market springs up. Criminals want handguns and don't need 11+ round mags to commit their crimes.

How much for black 20 rounders?
