- Jack Slack called him the best striker in MMA http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/6/3/3059390/analyzing-fedor-revolutionizing-ground-and-pound
- I think Jack Slack, whom even fighters read for pointers, knows a little more than you. Fedor was a pioneer and the way he combined transitions, strikes w Judo was genius. "Very few men can claim to have Olympic alternate level judo and still able to out-strike the best kickboxer in MMA history" -Jack Slack. He was prolly first totally rounded fighter and utilized a barrage of high level striking techniques including combinations, feigns and fakes. Some of his set-ups were straight up art, if you knew more about MMA, you'd be able to see this.
- Have you seen his art work ? Maybe you don't know anything about art either but that is an extremely high quality level for a beginner who did not even go to art school... I know many guys n gals that went to art school and don't even make stuff half that good. The lines are excellent and he could have easily become a great artist. Few guys has such a plethora of skill.
- I think you're either a newb or a troll.
One Two Three Four !
Okay, my friend. If Fedor was a true genius like you claim he is, I don't think he needs you to be his defense lawyer. He is rich, he is successful, he's good at his profession. I don't think he will even care whatever I say.
I don't think I was trying to put him down. I like him. I think he's a good fighter and wise man. I fairly like his drawings too although I wouldn't post them against my bedroom wall.
The reason why I put a question mark on his "genius" status is probably due to people like yourself who believe everything what media says without having your own grounds on which your judgement and analysis are based.
1. Ernesto Hoost trained Fedor prior to Filipovich fight and he said Fedor would be victorious in K-1 rules. Does this comment make Fedor genius? No. I don't care what Jack Black has to say about Fedor. He's not even a fighter.
2. "Very few men can claim to have Olympic alternate level judo and still able to out-strike the best kickboxer in MMA history"
I'm not sure if your're serious. Fedor is not an Olympic level Judo player or he never beat Peter Aerts or Anderson Silva on feet.
3. Do you seriously believe you have what it takes to be able to lecture people on fine arts? Be true to yourself before you get yourself exposed.
4. Well, I guess you have your right to say those things. Hardly matters to me.
I wouldn't have argued if Marcelo Garcia had been called "genius". I can't fight against facts.
But Fedor? He's a world class martial artist for sure but the definition of being genius should be "unprecedentedly innovative".....which doesn't describe the Russian.
American populates probably have the nerve to call Micheal Jackson "Genius". I think he's a lovable guy who deserves world wide respect. But what's genius about him? I don't see any quality in him that really stands out.
