Most people here assume he simply lost because he was past prime. Maybe that

Fedor would destroy Bigfoot if they met again. There's no excuses for the losses to Werdum and Hendo though. Werdum is lethal on the ground, and Hendo was the better man that night.

I've always said this about those losses to those 3. They could have taken place at any point in his career, especially Werdum and Silva. I do think that Fedor just fought very reckless vs Silva and it was a strategic error, if was more patient the KO would have come instead of hunting for it. Werdum could have happened at anytime

If Hendo can do it, Weidman can.

They actually have something else in common:

The fact that he became super religious, stopped training as much, and shrunk down into a shadow of himself.

True if we are talking MMA BJJ. Werdum is the more elite grappler.

Fedor was and is over rated. A good fighter who's almost great but nowhere near the greatest of all time. Apart from a ton of cans, who are his top wins? Cro cop and Nogueira. Cro cop didn't do too well in the UFC and while Nogueira did better, his career consisted of getting his ass kicked for the whole fight until his opponent made a mistake. Fedor was the best of a sketchy organization, for a short period of time. As soon as he went to Strikeforce his actual skill was exposed. Even Brett Rogers gave him a hard time. But he was part of Pride, and average UFC fans don't know who he is, that's why he's considered the Goat.

Bigfoot was juiced to the gills and Hendo wAs on trt.
He was overconfident with Werdum and wouldn't make the same mistake.
Haven't heard squat about Fedor negotiations though.
    It's discouraging.

The thing his losses have in common, is that he lost.

No, big nog is absolutely not on the same level of bjj as Werdum and never was. It's not even close in BJJ between their accomplishments.

I'd rather see Weidman vs Bones
