Fedor was never in a close fight during his prime; Gus 1,2,3; Santos 1,2,5; Reyes 1,2,3

Uh...I love Fedor but he was getting WRECKED by journeyman Fabio Maldonado in Russia and was clearly saved by the refs and then judges.

Who cares what happened inna fight nearly a decade after his prime though? I don't understand why people bring that fight up at all.

His unbeatable aura had been gone for YEARS by then, and nobody was expecting him to do big things anymore. FFS that fight was nearly 20 years into his career.

If he's still fighting, the losses still count

Maybe he should have fought as many top 5 fighters in his prime like Jon has.

200.webp
BAM!

prime Gus was the only fighter who almost killed prime Jones

think About that
Are you talking about that fight where Prime Gus ran most of the fight like a scared bitch? Are you talking about that fight where Prime Gus got rocked and nearly finished? Are you talking about that fight where Jones beat Prime Gus with a broken toe? You know, the toe that he broke off in the fight with Chael Sonnen only a COUPLE OF MONTHS before fighting Gus? A handicap Jones still beat a 100% overrated Prime Gus at his own game.

And of course your purposely forgot how Jones totally destroyed and humiliated Prime Gus in their second fight. Jones killed Gus in their second fight. HAHAHAHAHAHA LOL.

Fedor got doctor stoppage’d by a Japanese can, robbed Arona, and got ko’d by a MW

Lol stop. Fedor fought like 6 top 5 opponents in his entire career.
lol stop what, exactly, mate? Do your homework, study the fight configurations back then & come back here, then ya might talk.

kinda easy to consider fedor out of his prime when he start losing tough

Any fan of the sport knows he was out of his prime BEFORE first loss to Werdum

The way Fedor performed vs Arlovski or Rogers for example, already showed signs
Tim Sylvia one gave tricky impression, mostly because Sylvia performed that bad

In same fairness, Jones is showing signs of decline too

How did ya manage to drop so many mediocre assessments in one single line, mate?

It’s a dumb ass post equally as dumb as the ts thread

jones literally lost none of the fights ts is saying

Fedors prime run was the most dominant and entertaining that’s why he’s always on the GOAT list. But Jones has had a pretty solid run and it hasn’t even yet. The sheer length of Jones era may in the end put him clearly above Fedor, and GSP.

Prime Fedor sends Jones to the hospital with a broken orbital, broken jaw, broken arm, 4 broken ribs, internal bleeding, and severe concussion

Or he gets his ass fucking kicked by Dan Henderson.

Jones fought Chael Sonnen and bunch of other former middleweights that he had big reach advantage over. Let's not talk about competition.

Fedor literally has people on his resume that we’re not even professional fighters. So yes let’s talk about competition.

Agreed with everything except Gus was in his prime in the rematch lol. Gus had been Rumbled and humbled before the rematch. That definitely took some air from his sails
