Fedor throwing 3 power shots in 1 sec.

Yes lets ignore decades of being used to fighting heavyweights vs fighting @ 185. Chael was not, is not and will never be anything other than a MW, even in his prime this was evident when he moved up. Weight stats don't tell the story, fanboys. It was beyond obvious that Fedor was the much bigger and stronger guy in there.

"being used to fighting at HW."

It's not Fedor's fault Chael cut a bunch of weight and did steroids to fight at 185, bra

Fedor didn't fight the big boys @ HW, Nogueira and Cro Cop were his size, and he ducked all the "big boys". untill he eventually couldn't run away anymore and got smashed.

Rua? You mean Rua who admitted that Silva was by far the most talented guy at Chute Boxe even back then? The same Rua who got embarrassingly finished by Forrest who went on to become champ, and after losing the title faced Anderson and got dominated worse than any fighter ever at the top level? Pride fanboys never give up with their same old narrative. You guys are in your 30s and 40s now and turning into dementia suffering old blokes it's sad.

You're right.

He didn't fight any "big boys" at all.

but Fedor is supposedly "two weight classes" bigger than this guy:

Quit being a nerd lol

Damn, both Emalienenkos got fucking stunning wives.

Anderson was the first man to drop him and the difference is, he finished him after dropping him. Fedor was dicking around for minutes with a guy several weight classes smaller.

And another parallel with a man named Dan Henderson.
When did Silva drop him, and when the hell did he finish him soon after dropping him? Chael whiffed on a spinning back fist, was sitting up against the cage with his ass on the canvas, and then Silva landed a knee on his chest. That's not "dropping" him bud.

Its not Fedor's fault that Chael got rag dolled. Should have been stronger. Chael was within 10 pounds of fedor and is taller. Size wasn't that big of a factor, just skill and athleticism.
And you know he was roided the fuck out to get that big. Which makes it that much more impressive to me.

For fucks sakes. They are both on their 40s. There is NO need to make anything out of this than for what it is.

Fedor is a natural heavyweight, he has always been a heavyweight. Just like Mark Hunt they arent tall but they are thick as hell. He could have shredded and fought at middleweight if he wanted to fight outside his natural weight class and lose his advantages such as his speed and athleticism
Yup. If Fedor dropped his chub he'd be around 205 lean. He could have been shredded and fought at MW easily - a lot of those MW guys are pushing 210 lbs on fight night, and balloon up to Fedor's current weight between fights.

The first shot he lands is pretty sweet, catching Chael as he was coming in. I guess the old guy has still got some skills and the timing up his sleeves

Fedor has such fast hands for a heavy guy, his hand speed is really crazy, So does his brother, Alexs has crazy fast hands too

Chael weighed in at 227.
Fedor weighed in at 236

Fedor clearly carries more body fat.

What exactly do you mean, “several weight classes smaller”?

Because Fedor never cut weight to hide from a division? We’re going to throw shade on him for fighting at his walk around weight his entire career, despite the fact that many LHW’s walk around at close to 250 lbs (Forrest and Tito, for example). In fact, Fedor often appears significantly smaller in photos next to walkaround LHWs.

Are we disparaging the same man who often fought much larger opponents his entire career because he fought a man he outweighed by 9 pounds?

“Overweight Chael”. Did Chael look less trim than Fedor?

This narrative is stupid.

I just fuckin love Fedor! Attack him, and you risk getting violently decapitated in the process. He is humble, respectful and always brings that all-or-notning-attitude to a fight. A true warrior, I’ll forever be a fan!

Silva didn't drop him tho. Chael went for a spinning backfist and tripped. The Anderson went ultra-violence on him.

The first shot didn't actually landed on Chael's face but bellow it's armpit at full power and made him flinch! Opening him to that left power bomb that dropped him.
The power of that shot must have propagated right through the ribcage/lung/heart lol, Scary mofo.
