I'm glad the Russian picked up a win, but his reaction time looked slower than ever and he got dropped straight off. I want to see a coiple more lucky wins for Fedor...Then retire.

I agree. I think he'll have a good chance against chael just because he still hits hard, but in the finals he will be a major underdog. He can put out anyone in the tournament, so I'd hope he gets a lucky punch in the finals and KO's either mitrione or Bader, then defend the title against Cro Cop and retire

He's slow and sloppy now, but hes still coming for that title. Sonnen is fucked.

Slow yes but that uppercut was accurate. Right "on the button"

hes looked slow since the arvloski fight

Well he's fighting another guy that is slow and passed his prime next so its not really a concern.

His chin is glass now(IMO always had a below average chin though). He got dropped in the opening seconds by Mir. Frank could have won this easily but threw it away.

If he has the will to continue and is successful why not keep competing until a desired retirement instead of a forced one

I don't think you can go undefeated for so long at heavyweight with a bad chin, even if you're above average in skill and mix in some lesser opponents. Eventually you will get hit with something.

Fedor having anything less than a good chin is just not supported by facts.

As an old guy, I can help here. I made a board a bit back where I said Fedor has slowed down and I got some confused responses. Punching power and speed are the last things to leave you. An 80 year old man can still throw a hard punch. The tendons, ligaments, etc, they get worn, less flexible, less reactive. This is what I meant. He has slowed down incredibly with the overall body movement. Especially on the ground. Fedor will still have the KO ability even if he fights until he is 50. It is everything else.

wish i knew..

Young enough and quick enough for Mir
