Fedor (2005) vs Jon Jones (2015)

if Jon Jones was fighting back then, we wouldn't even know who Fedor is today.

I personally think Jones has nothing on Fedor's speed and striking. The way DC boxed Jones, Fedor would do it x10. The only threat are probably Jones' obligue kicks/stomps

Turinabones would have murdered Fedor.

Jones was on PEDs, but Fedor fought in PRIDE, so we all know he was clean.

Gus did that to Jones
Imagine Prime Fedor

I consider Jon the LHW goat (even with the cheating thing), but Prime Fedor was another thing and and the HW goat

Fedor wins. Jones would be an even bigger star at HW there is a reason he is fighting at LHW.

Fedor is a completely different fighter than Gus, though. Not least when it comes to reach/height. There's a decent chance that Jones takes Fedor down and opens his face up with elbows and is able to keep Fedor away standing, utilizing his reach and oblique kicks.

Yes the guy that cut weight to avoid HW his whole career can beat the goat HW

I think it would take a strong, skilled HW that could negate most or all of JBJs height/reach to have a solid chance at beating him.

The Godfather (1972) wins.

Titanic (1997) in the mix

Jones is great, and I think he could possibly beat several top 10-15 HWs, but can he beat the best HW in the history of the sport? I dont believe he can. I really don't see where Jones could win this fight. I don't even see him beating the top 5 of todays HWs.

Too bad we never saw Jon against Rumble. Would have been easier to answer.

Even though fedor and DC are both legit HWs, Fedor has 4 inches of reach over him.

Its really hard to bet againt Bones though. He beats people in their own game.

If Vitor could get a hold of JJs arm, I don't see how Fedor doesn't tear it off and walk slowly away with his head down...

...or we could ask 05 Mirko and Nog, who would have both also beaten Jones.

It’s not as clear cut as some of you are saying. It’s an interesting match up because both of them are equally well-rounded.

Jones has the length. Fedor has the power.

I think that Fedor would be able to defend Jon’s clinch game. Maybe even land a throw himself. When he does end up on bottom, Jones has not dealt with a bottom game like Fedor’s.
