The Office of Special Counsel on Thursday recommended the removal of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway from federal office for violating the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from engaging in political activity in the course of their work.

The report submitted to President Trump found that Conway violated the Hatch Act on numerous occasions by “disparaging Democratic presidential candidates while speaking in her official capacity during television interviews and on social media.” The agency described her as a “repeat offender.”

“In interview after interview, she uses her official capacity to disparage announced candidates, which is not allowed,” he said, adding: “What kind of example does that send to the federal workforce? If you’re high enough up in the White House, you break the law, but if you’re a postal carrier or a regular federal worker, you lose your job?”

What do you guys think about this one? Too big to fail or is she fired?

My guess is that Trump doesn't give a flying fuck about the law or ethics, nor do his supporters, and nothing will happen!

I think she and anyone else that cant meet the standards of professional conduct should be removed.

Left right or center, I dont give a damn, those rules are in place to keep this country from becoming truly communist.

She's not gonna be fired for that, if anything Trump will probably offer her a raise.

I really don't get why it's illegal though, you have someone that is a part of the President's team, you shouldn't expect them to be impartial to candidates for the Presidency when that will lead to her being out of a job.

We get warned about Hatch Act violations multiple times a year . . . I have no problem with her removal or being disciplined.

Do you really think I need this lady to sway me with a partisan comment that “I’ll cure cancer” Biden is a bad candidate?

Under the hatch act she’s entitled to her opinion btw

Under the Hatch Act she's entitled to her opinion, but not to spread it publicly while in Federal office and working in an official capacity.

That's like the whole point of the Hatch Act.

Aaaaand still the very first woman to lead a successful US presidential campaign. Something that to this day Ive never heard a single leftist "feminist" give her solid props for.

We had the same rule in the military. If you can't follow the rules then you should be removed.

It's that simple.

Did she say “don’t vote for Biden?”

And if you search my post history on Kellyanne you'll find posts of me giving her props.

She did a great job during the campaign, but the problem here is she never stopped campaigning while holding a Federal job.

Still a bit angry after watching Chernobyl.

Seems like the lesson weren't fully grasped.

wtf does this have to do with a domestic law in relation to Federal workers and political candidates?

Did you read anything I posted? It includes the actual report that was sent the President and includes all the details.

Yes, if she didn’t blatantly say those words then what we are talking about is semantics and legally complicated

I’d be very interested in her firing, would be very entertaining from both sides

The Hatch Act is why Amuse and Easy Mac are no longer allowed to make parody videos about the various branches of service.

If service members have to abide by it, then so should ol neck bones over there.

Not following the standards is how you ruin the morale of our military and cripple our recruitment numbers.

Knock off the partisan bullshit.
